Strengthening Communities through Equity and Empowerment

Equity and empowerment are at the heart of MAMTA’s mission. We work to ensure marginalized voices are heard and communities have the tools to shape their futures.

Our gender equity programs challenge harmful norms and promote inclusion through campaigns against gender-based violence and women’s support groups. The Community Empowerment Model trains local groups to monitor services, advocate for rights, and design solutions. Youth empowerment is another focus, with leadership training and digital literacy programs enabling young people to become advocates for change. Achievements include mobilizing women’s groups to demand better maternal health services, establishing adolescent clubs for life skills, and partnering with governments to integrate equity into development planning.

By strengthening communities through equity and empowerment, MAMTA ensures development is sustainable and inclusive.
